Unrelated Jesse Request!

Jesse's preforming this week with Miley and Demi for Concert for Hope on Oct. 25th in Los Angeles. I expect there will be pictures from the event, so make sure you keep your heads up.

I have a request to make and it has nothing to do with Jesse. I'm not sure what type of music people are into but @StevieBrock on twitter's birthday is the 23rd and for his birthday, we're pushing to get him 1023 followers. Currently, he's right at about 900 and they only need 100 or so more. He is supppper talented! Help us out and follow him on twitter if you have one. His new sound is very Justin Timberlake sounding and it sounds hot.

Tell me about your video Body Language.
It's kind of just off the cuff. It was one of those things that just accidentally happened. [T-Pain and I] were in Miami and we worked on the song together. We brought ... a hand-held, behind-the-scenes type video camera ... to just come in a shoot us working together in the studio, just really kind of cas[usal]. And it became this really fun intimate video that shows what it's like behind the scenes. And you know, we cut a lot of stuff, a lot of footage that I had taken myself on the road last year, touring, performing that song live in front of the fans. The song live is just explosive and it makes a really entertaining video. And we just sort of put that all together and it's just a montage of a lot of fun bits.

Did you like working with T-Pain?
T-Pain obviously is one of the biggest singer-songwriters ... today. He's very talented and has a firm grip on what the fans want to hear. I think the two of us together ... is a great collaboration and [it] ended up becoming a really fun song for the end of 2009.

You describe this video as a behind-the-scenes-look. But you've done more traditional, narrative music videos as well. Is there a style you prefer?
I mean, you know, it's hard to say. We've gone back and forth. He and I have talked about shooting something that's a little bit more of a format, a treatment I should say. And just doing something fun, but for now the fans really seem to be taking to this ... so we might just call it quits there you know, which is kind of nice and simple.

You've worked with T-Pain on this song and Ludacris on 'How Do You Sleep?' -- who's next?
It's really hard to say, I've really always wanted to, especially in the last year or so, I've always wanted to do something with John Legend or Alicia Keys, something a little more R&B, a little bit more soulful and that's like a goal of mine. So maybe who knows, maybe next album

You're young, successful in Hollywood but your life isn't splashed all over the tabloids. How do you stay grounded?
Laughs. I have a good family, good friends, I just like to have a good time. I like what I do, it's fun what I do. I'm pretty low maintenance. I don't really need much and you know I'm actually, to tell you the truth, I just finished a round of golf. I'm enjoying life right now, I just have a really great support system and an amazing team behind me. I'm sort of the face of this operation and there's ... dozens of people working behind me to make it all run and work successfully so I owe a lot of it to them.

As a singer-songwriter and actor, do you feel pressure to succeed – as you have done – in all three?
I honestly don't feel a lot of pressure. I put more pressure on myself more than anything ... when it comes to making a record ... or performing. I don't feel a lot of outside pressure. I try to not let that bother me. -- SOURCE

Friedman, M.D., president and chief executive officer, City of Hope. "We are honored to have their commitment as we work to ultimately find cures and give hope to patients everywhere."

The sold-out 2008 Concert for Hope raised in excess of $1.2 million for City of Hope’s cancer research efforts. Cyrus is donating $1 from every ticket sold during her current, hugely successful Wonder World Tour. On her last tour, she raised more than $2 million to benefit City of Hope.

AEG Live, one of the leading providers of live entertainment and sports events in the world, is participating in this year's concert as part of its overall campaign to raise funds for City of Hope.

"City of Hope is an enormous asset to patients everywhere. Many of today's most successful cancer treatments were made possible by the pioneering science of City of Hope," said Cavallo.

"We are pleased to continue our support of this institution and help ensure that more patients will benefit from its lifesaving research and treatment programs," added Marsh.

"Staples is honored to be this year’s national presenting sponsor of the Concert for Hope," said Ron Sargent, Staples chairman and chief executive officer. "We continue our long standing support of City of Hope and their efforts to find a cure for the millions of people living with cancer."

Nearly 1,500,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer in 2009. Of those, approximately 10,730 will be children under the age of 14. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the highest designation bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, City of Hope is committed to shortening the time frame from scientific idea to new treatments to quickly bring cures to patients who need them.

Inspired by the humanitarian principles of City of Hope, and motivated by the institution’s commitment to innovative medical research and quality patient care, a group of key industry executives founded the Music and Entertainment Industry chapter in 1973. In 36 years of dedicated efforts, the chapter has grown to include all the major music labels such as Universal Music Group, Disney Music Group and Warner Bros. The industry has raised more than $80 million through benefits, promotions and partnerships to support ongoing programs at City of Hope. - SOURCE

Jesse and Ryan Tedder took home "Song of the Year" the other night while attending the ASCAP Pop Awards. Congrats, Jesse and Ryan! He looks good.

On top of the pictures, a video of Jesse preforming Leavin' at the event was posted on youtube. If you watch the video, you'll see Jesse's old guitarist Dory Lobel playing with him. I wonder if this means Dory's back? :) Anyway, it sounds like a new acoustic version of the song. It definitely sounds different, but I like it.

First Ludacris, now T-Pain? Body Language was posted on Youtube but as a remix with T-Pain. A bunch of sites are saying that the two are working together for a remix, but there is no official word yet. Check it out!

Thank you, Jem! JustJaredJr posted an exclusive interview with Jesse McCartney. It's too long to post it all, so head over to this link to view it. Here's one question from the interview:
JJJ: Do you have any favorite childhood memories?

JM: Yeah, growing up in a small town – Ardsley, New York – is one square mile. It was a pretty laid back town. I graduated from a public high school in a class of 150 students. I think just the smell of the fresh, New York air like in the suburbs and playing baseball every fall. I eventually played for my high school team. I miss all those memories, I miss that as a kid. Every time I come home, I try to shoot up to back where I grew up to get a dose. Brings me back to the good ol’ days. Now I live in smog-infested Los Angeles.
